It's been a while huh... This year, I'm doing a bingo board for my new year resolution, and one of the tiles is to make at least 5 blog posts, so here we are XD I'll start by recapping some highlights of 2025 as a cheat post to get the ball rolling.
Here are some of the fun stuff from my #買ってよかったもの2025 lol!
I got really into SuperBat last January; I was browsing fanfics from a completely different fandom, noticed an author bookmark ship-to-ship combat by pomeloquat, and it all spiraled from there (I love fanfics about fanfics). I also started collecting some comics and art. I'm kind of embarrassed by my terrible spending in 2025... but also extremely chuffed, so here are some photos of what I got LOL.
World's Finest (1999) and also Incredible Hulk Vs. Superman have such awesome beautiful art and saw that Steve Rude's commissions were open, so of course I went for it! I love how he draws such a classic and handsome Superman. *swoon* His commission slots are 20% off right now, actually, if anyone happens to be reading. My request was for Superman and Batman to take a selfie together. I think he nailed it and hopefully some day I can make another SuperBat request. *sighs wistfully*
It was fun waking up early to try snagging a spot on Chris Samnee's list. I requested for Superman to be smiling, and he made the edit in pencil but ended up not inking it LOL (pretty funny). I also managed to get one of his doodles with Superman in a squinty eyed smile. My greedy desire is for him to work on a World's Finest or Superman Batman team up comic someday. He's so awesome at using chunky blacks and visual storytelling. I really need to read Batman & Robin: Year One (2024).
Kryptonite Spectrum is soooo fun and I think Martin Morazzo's art feels kind of nostalgic—it somehow reminds me of old smackjeeves webcomics?!?! I need to finish reading, but I did get spoiled and *SPOILER ALERT* I think the ending is sooo funny and fanfic-core with Superman turning into a baby and everyone having to collectively raise him. Jeez, I'm going heh heh heh heh right now thinking about it. I wonder if they are celebrating Superman or Batman's birthday?! Heh heh heh... I love how he draws Superman's beefy neck and toothy Spongebob smile and windswept hair.
I tried blogging again in 2025 but only managed a single post; here it is, as I have since deleted it.

I got to watch early screenings of Superman (2025) and Wake Up Dead Man! I wish I splurged to watch other touring productions, but I did get to watch Hadestown (twice!); Hades and Eurydice had very strong performances and watching different depictions of the characters is soooo delightful. Swerving back to StarKid for a brief moment, but I wish I could find a boot of AJ Holmes in Book of Mormon?! XD
Sometimes (all the time) you're just depressed and want to ~*KYS*~, but the excitement of waiting for a treat to arrive abates it for a bit... my wallet is negative but my mental is slightly above zero. LOL. Looking back, I'm like oh yeah I was so incredibly insane with spending money but um, that is my delusional rationale behind it all. Another side note, I think it was really sane of me to finally let my FFXIV house explode. It's a bummer because my uncle-brothers helped me purchase my nice beachfront medium before housing became lottery, but I'm happy the next person gets to enjoy it. :')
